21.12.2007 - Stage 1 upgrades:
...We have installed a D-Command side car to keep the hyper speed Avant Plus Film console in good company during the long danish winter nights...
This is so that clients can bring their Pro Tools stem pre-mixes into the Stage from other mix locations and then start final mixing and mastering straight away. |

31.01.2007 - Rich Kids
Production company Grasten Film have just finished three weeks of mixing and mastering in our Cinema Stage 1 - and were the first clients to use our recently upgraded hyper speed Avant Plus mixing console.
Rich Kids is a film directed by Rune Bendixen. It is a story about a group of wealthy youngsters, from old money families living in the north of Copenhagen from a world where people with ambition and power rule. It is bound to be controversial and start an interesting debate!

01.08.2006 - "Supervoksen"...
"Supervoksen" (director: Christina Rosendahl) is a brand new Nordisk film that we had the pleasure of mixing and mastering recently in Stage 1.

The sessions were spread over 3 days of mixing (15-17 May) with a Dolby printmaster-final mix day (18 May). Soren Bjerregaard and Peter Albrechtsen were at the controls of the desk, using 2 individual Protools HD3 systems for separate stem playback and recording.
Mark Kenna from Dolby UK was the captain of the DMU on the mastering day.

27.04.2006 - "Free Jimmy" released to great critical acclaim...
Free Jimmy ("Slipp Jimmy Fri") is the first 3D computer animated feature film from Norway.
With a price tag in excess of 100 mill. NOK - it is also the most expensive in film Norwegian movie-making history, and the results are truly spectacular.
The movie is about a circus elephant with a drug habit (yes, really) and comes from the talented hands of Christopher Nielsen and producers Storm Studio.
Norwegian dialogue recordings were made in January and february 2006 by Else Ljøstad, Rune Elli and Bård Høvik, together with Bjørn Are Rognlid as dialog supervisor. The dialogue stems were mixed at the new Sun Studio Oslo Cinematic Stage during week 13 by Bjørn Are Rognlid, and ably assisted by Else Ljøstad.
The tracks were then mastered at Sun Studio Copenhagen in Cinema Stage 1.

18.02.2006 - Sun Oslo mixes first film in their new cinema
The short film 'Valgets Kval' (Approximately translated: 'Torment and Trepidation') is honoured as being the first film edited and mixed at Sun Studio Oslo in their new facility.
...and it went so well that....it won the Best film prize at the CirkA short film festival.
....and there are two feature film mixes on the way!.
A great first couple of months. Well done!

Blue Karma Tiger is a stop motion animated documentary about graffiti. Through interviews, three writers and one graffiti cleaner give us their personal view on this debated art form. Their different personalities are expressed through their styles and their relations to graffiti...

Villa Paranoia, a new film by Erik Clausen, was recently mixed and print-mastered by in Cinema Stage 1.
The work was carried out by dialogue editor Henrik 'Gugge' Garnov and chief sound designer Henrik Langkilde.
The film is now on general release with a Dolby Digital SRD soundtrack.
