In 1981, Sun Studio decided to invest in new and specialised post-production facilities, and to concentrate resources on building this new business. At the time, this was considered to be a very brave and pioneering move for a Danish music recording studio to undertake - music recording and AV post production were considered by many to be completely separate worlds. The decision proved to be a successful one, and over the course of the next nine years they built up a reputation in ADR, voice recording and audio post-production.
Music recording continue to remain at the core of the company. In 1984, the studio was further enhanced by the introduction of digital multi-track tape recording - one of the first studios to do so in Scandinavia.
