12.09.2006 ANNOUNCEMENT:
|
SUN STUDIO AND SDI MEDIA GROUP
'GLOBALLY LOCAL'
|
  |
It is with great pleasure that we announce that as of September 7, 2006, Sun Studio has become a company under the SDI Media Group.
Apart from that, nothing will change. Sun Studio will continue as before with the same name, management, locations, personnel, email addresses, telephone numbers - and its philosophy of high creative and technical quality coupled with top service for its clients. Sun Studio will continue to work as it always has, and all of Sun Studio’s projects will continue under Sun Studio’s management.
Sun Studio will continue as the main contact for all of its clients, just as founder Svend Christiansen will continue as Managing Director of Sun Studio.
Sun combines its expertise in dubbing and audio post production with SDI Media’s well known worldwide subtitling and dubbing services. Sun and SDI Media will therefore be able to offer their clients a wide range of additional benefits through an expanded international but centralised approach - as providers of dubbed and subtitled language versions for feature film, home entertainment media, interactive formats, video games, television, and new media. We are both global and local - utilizing the advantages of centralization of materials, production management and expertise as well as working in all of the territories with experienced local staff members using top local creative talent. As always, we are ready to collaborate with you to produce the best possible product.
One of the other results of Sun and SDI Media joining forces will be the acceleration of the expansion of our dubbing facilities to more European territories outside the current eight countries where Sun is represented, complimenting the local offices that SDI Media has in many European countries. Sun will be brought even closer to its UK and US clients, as SDI has offices in Los Angeles and London.
This is a big step for Sun Studio to take, and while we look back at the last 25 pioneering years with immense pleasure and pride, there is also a tinge of regret upon leaving this historic phase in our development.
But our world does not stand still. And so, neither do we. Our company history proves this. We are ready and raring to take the next step a step that will truly bring us out to the whole of Europe and the world.
We hope you will take this step with us, and are sure you won’t be disappointed.

20.01.2006 - Successful release of historic Caprino back catalogue....
Last year, one of the oldest and most prestigious animation companies in Europe - Caprino Studios of Norway, commisioned Sun Studio to manage the multi language versions of their new anniversary DVD box set.
The project was truly ambitious. Nearly sixty years of Caprino productions were to be revoiced over a period of less than sixty days.
Voice Recording sessions were carried out in four of Sun Studios European facilities and for the UK version - Sun Studio Copenhagen decamped and took over London. The city was later given back to its rightful owners two weeks later...
A very tight timescale was centrally co-ordinated with balletic precision by Sun Studio in Copenhagen.
About the DVD: The films in this DVD edition have all been fully digitally remastered by Caprino. Never before have they been presented with such stability, sharpness and depth of colour. Every single scene in the films has been manually adapted for the new widescreen TV format, and a selection of them have actually been manually and artistically enhanced to prevent loss of image information.
An amazing achievement.

Sun Studio, one of the most experienced players in the fields of audio, sound design, dubbing, and music recording have started a new venture to mould the companies commercial post department into a leading provider in the production of TV, theatrical, and radio commercial spots in Denmark.
This new venture is called S3, Sun Studio Spots.
About Sun Studio: Sun Studio is a privately owned international company with studio facilities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, The Netherlands, and Belgium.
Sun Studio's major activities include dubbing of live action and animated films for a clientele that now numbers all of the major Hollywood film companies. They also work with many European TV stations and distributors - and have a famous reputation for music recording spanning 35 years.
Because Sun Studio is strongly established in all the seven countries mentioned, it follows that S3 is very proficient when working with the production of multilingual foreign versions.

Sun Studio also has a company wide audio network that allows work to be transferred from studio to studio - and to the world beyond in a safe and highly secure way. This degree of technical readiness has a host of operational and cost benefits that will be appreciated by clients.
In conclusion, the combination of a high standard of technical resource, a large production capacity, decades of international experience, a creative sophistication and an assured confidence gives S3 the ability to professionally serve the advertising and production communities in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. And we are ready... |
